Cauliflower Margherita Pizza

Crispy cauliflower pizza crust with farm fresh organic tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, Italian marinara sauce and some backyard basil.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Trader Joes frozen cauliflower pizza crust

  • 1 organic tomato

  • Salt & pepper

  • 1 handful freshly snipped basil

  • 3/4 cup Italian marinara sauce

  • 1 cup shredded low fat mozzarella cheese

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Place the frozen cauliflower crust upside down (without toppings) on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, flip the crust and bake for another 10-12 minutes. For a crispy crust, broil for 4-5 minutes extra.

2. Remove from oven, top with marinara sauce then shredded mozzarella cheese and tomatoes. Season the tomatoes with salt & pepper. Sprinkle a bit more cheese over the tomatoes. Place the pizza back in the oven on broil for another 4-5 minutes.

3. Garnish with fresh basil and parmesan cheese if desired. Slice with a pizza wheel and serve warm.
